Human Resource Business Partner

Work from home Full-time role Hiring

Job Description

A bit about the role

Are you looking for a disruptive, inspiring, mission-driven organization where you can make an impact? Do you enjoy a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you can grow and learn?? The Devoted People team is looking for an experienced, results-driven HR Business Partner to align our HR initiatives and functions with business objectives and business needs. As a trusted HR Business Partner at Devoted, you will have the opportunity to feel the impact you make on the business. You will work closely with HR and divisional leadership to execute HR strategies, programs and processes that drive engagement and performance excellence.

The HR Business Partner will support employees, management, and leadership within assigned business units. There is the potential, over time, for these groups to experience rapid growth, so we are looking for a highly agile thought leader who is comfortable working with different areas of our rapidly growing company.

Responsibilities and impact will include:

  • Serve as the primary HR Business Partner providing high-volume Employee Relations and performance management support to a large, non-exempt employee population, acting as the frontline champion for workplace culture, conflict resolution, and policy compliance.
  • Responsible for aligning business objectives with people in designated departments. This includes (but is not limited to) consulting with management on organizations design, compensation strategy, performance management, talent management, coaching and training.
  • Build trusted relationships with business leaders and coach managers and leaders through employee development conversations.
  • Develop and implement people strategies to attract, engage and retain a diverse workforce.
  • Responding to HR policy and process questions while providing dispute/conflict resolution and mediation skills, as necessary.
  • Partnering with Recruiting and Finance, providing HR insight in relation to people team policies and procedures.
  • Building upon existing performance programs in designing and implementing new programs in support of performance excellence.

Required skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years or more of relevant experience gained through increasingly responsible positions within Human Resources.
  • Experience in a high growth or clinical environment is a plus, as well as experience using Workday, but overall strategic HRBP experience, relationship building and flexibility are the most important.

Desired skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated leadership building and implementing programs in one or more functional areas of the HR discipline, which may include recruiting, employee relations, performance management, benefits, compensation, training and organizational development—preferably in the technology or professional services industry during a period of rapid growth.
  • Ability to build trust and provide credible HR guidance and influence management at all levels, including Senior Leadership.
  • Ability to work through ambiguity, think creatively, be flexible and roll-up your sleeves.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including group presentation and relationship development skills.
  • Professional, confident manner, poised and articulate demeanor.
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide array of personality types and all job levels.
  • Demonstrated history of exemplary ethics and integrity, including ability to handle and maintain the integrity of confidential information.
  • Active commitment to the identification and appropriate resolution of all business issues, whether they are rooted in business problems or are pure compliance concerns.
  • Demonstrated ability to assume sole and independent responsibility for projects.
  • Ability to exercise discretion related to sensitive employee matters.
  • A culture champion, promoting company values to drive decision making.
