Role Description The Local Advertising Account Executive – Denver is a full-time, remote role responsible for developing and managing advertising relationships with local and regional clients. This position focuses on identifying prospects, presenting Axios advertising solutions, negotiating terms, and closing new business to meet revenue targets. The Account Executive will manage the full sales cycle, including building proposals, coordinating digital and mobile campaigns, and ensuring accurate implementation and performance tracking. They will collaborate closely with marketing, editorial, and ad operations teams to deliver effective, brand-aligned campaigns and provide ongoing account support. Regular client communication, performance reporting, and market research on local advertising trends are core components of the day-to-day responsibilities.
Qualifications
Strong account management skills, including client relationship building, campaign oversight, and retention strategies. Proven experience in sales, with a track record of prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing advertising or media deals. Background in marketing, with the ability to understand client objectives and translate them into effective advertising solutions. Knowledge of digital media and mobile marketing, including ad formats, performance metrics, and audience targeting. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and remotely. Strong organizational and time management abilities, including managing multiple accounts and deadlines. Familiarity with CRM tools and basic analytics platforms; experience with media or ad tech systems is a plus. Relevant experience in local or regional advertising markets; prior work with news, media, or tech organizations is beneficial. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
