Online Reading & Writing Teacher
Job Summary As an Online Reading & Writing Teacher, you’ll help children build literacy skills through engaging virtual instruction. You’ll plan lessons, adapt teaching to individual needs, and use learning technology and e-learning platforms to support progress. This role is suited to an educator who communicates clearly, enjoys working with children, and can create a supportive online learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Teach reading and writing, including English literacy, through online lessons and tutoring.
- Develop curriculum and lesson plans that reflect students’ learning goals and abilities.
- Provide individualized instruction and adjust activities to support different learning styles and needs.
- Use e-learning platforms and other learning technology to deliver lessons and monitor student work.
- Maintain a welcoming, well-managed virtual classroom and communicate with students and caregivers about learning activities.
Skills
- Essential: Teaching ability, strong writing skills, literacy education knowledge, classroom management, and instructional adaptability.
- Essential: Experience working with children and students; classroom experience, childcare, preschool experience, or early childhood education experience is relevant.
- Preferred: Experience working with students with disabilities or in special education.
- Preferred: Curriculum development, lesson planning, tutoring, and familiarity with learning technology and e-learning platforms.
- Additional language skills in Mandarin, French, or Japanese, or experience teaching foreign languages, are welcome.
Pay: $21.11 - $23.03 per hour Work Location: Remote
