Post Production Manager
We're looking for an exceptional Post-Production Manager who understands what makes premium long-form YouTube videos work. This role is for someone with outstanding creative judgment, strong YouTube storytelling instincts, and the ability to review edits, lead editors, and consistently deliver videos that meet the highest creative standards. You will own the creative quality of every edit in your pod, from the moment the Creative Director locks the rough cut until the video is ready for client delivery. We're not looking for someone who only manages timelines and tasks. We need someone who understands storytelling, pacing, audience retention, visual design, and how every editing decision affects the viewer's experience. About Dragonfruit Dragonfruit is an industry-leading creative agency helping creators and brands build and grow organic audiences on YouTube. We've worked with leading creators and organizations, including MrBeast, Ali Abdaal, Chris Williamson, Codie Sanchez, Y Combinator, e.l.f. Beauty, and more. Our mission is to help the world's most important ideas travel farther through exceptional storytelling and premium YouTube content.
What You'll Do
Own final creative quality. Review and approve every edit in your assigned pod before it reaches the client. Review through a performance lens. Improve hooks, pacing, story clarity, retention, visuals, motion graphics, music, sound design, and overall viewer experience. Give clear creative direction. Provide specific, timestamped feedback that editors can confidently execute. Own client editing standards. Collaborate with Creative Directors during client onboarding to develop the visual style, then maintain the client's brand book and editing SOPs. Lead and develop editors. Identify recurring issues, provide coaching, and help editors consistently improve their work. Work closely with your Senior Editor. Delegate routine technical and creative support while focusing on quality ownership and higher-level decisions. Maintain client satisfaction. Deliver polished videos, learn from client feedback, and prevent the same mistakes from happening again. Protect delivery timelines. Identify post-production blockers early, resolve quality concerns, and escalate issues when needed. Take ownership of video performance. Partner with Creative Directors to help ensure videos meet their creative and performance goals.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience reviewing and improving premium long-form YouTube videos for established creators, brands, agencies, or YouTube-first teams. Strong understanding of YouTube storytelling, audience retention, pacing, viewer engagement, and performance. Excellent creative judgment and the ability to identify what is working, what is weak, and what should change. Experience reviewing editors' work and providing detailed, actionable feedback. Experience guiding or coaching video editors to improve their creative and technical skills. Strong understanding of Premiere Pro, After Effects, motion graphics, sound design, and professional post-production workflows. Ability to maintain consistent creative standards across different clients and editing styles. Strong communication skills and confidence to challenge creative decisions when necessary. Experience working in a fast-moving remote creative team. This Is a YouTube-First Role This is not a traditional Post-Production Manager role focused only on timelines, file movement, or delivery tracking. We're looking for someone with deep experience in YouTube-native content, where success depends on pacing, audience retention, viewer engagement, and strong creative judgment. You may be a strong fit if you've worked closely with established creators, managed or reviewed YouTube editors, delivered videos regularly, and improved edits through a performance-focused approach.
