[Remote] Clinical Pathologist
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Labela is seeking U.S.-based Clinical Pathologists and senior clinical trainees to provide expert consulting for the validation, refinement, and auditing of frontier medical AI models. The role involves evaluating clinical reasoning, validating complex laboratory-medicine outputs, identifying safety risks, and advising on AI-driven clinical decision-support tools.
Responsibilities
- Clinical Logic Auditing: Review and refine AI-generated diagnostic and treatment strategies to ensure alignment with CAP standards
- High-Complexity Validation: Provide expert-level ground truth for intricate laboratory-medicine case presentations, laboratory data interpretation, and assay validation
- Safety Oversight: Identify clinical inaccuracies or hallucinations in AI outputs that could impact patient safety or triage decisions
- Strategic Consulting: Advise on the development of AI-driven clinical decision support tools for laboratory-medicine care
Skills
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Clinical Pathology (ABPath), or a current senior resident or fellow (PGY-2 or above) training in the field
- 2+ years of postgraduate clinical training
- Must be based in the United States
- Ability to provide concise, technical feedback on complex clinical cases
- We are prioritizing candidates based in California for this cohort
