[Remote] Data Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. InstantServe LLC is seeking a hands-on Snowflake Expert / Senior Data Engineer. The role is responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and supporting enterprise-scale data solutions, including Snowflake architecture, data pipelines, transformations, security, performance tuning, and production support.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable enterprise data solutions using Snowflake
- Build and optimize complex SQL, tables, views, stored procedures, and data pipelines
- Design and implement raw, curated, dimensional, and reporting/data-mart layers
- Develop and maintain data transformations using dbt
- Build and support data pipelines using Airflow/Astronomer
- Perform Snowflake query, warehouse, performance, and cost optimization
- Implement Snowflake Streams, Tasks, Dynamic Tables, Snowpark, and secure data sharing
- Design and maintain RBAC, masking, and data-access controls
- Troubleshoot production, performance, and data-quality issues
- Participate in architecture and code reviews
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other data engineers
Skills
- 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Warehousing
- 4+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience
- Expert-level SQL and Snowflake performance tuning skills
- Strong experience with dbt, Python, and Airflow/Astronomer
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT, and dimensional modeling
- Experience with Snowflake security, RBAC, data sharing, and cost optimization
- Experience with Git/GitHub and CI/CD
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Snowflake certification
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise Snowflake environments
- Financial services, mortgage, or capital markets experience
- Experience with Sigma, Power BI, Monte Carlo, Sifflet, or similar data/BI and data-observability tools
