[Remote] Data Engineer (AI)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. MBO Partners is building a flex talent network of experienced Data Engineers for complex, high-impact consulting projects supporting a leading global professional services firm. The Senior Data Engineer will build scalable data foundations, develop advanced analytics solutions, manage distributed data environments, and advise clients on complex data and technology decisions.
Responsibilities
- Build data foundations that support advanced analytics and experimentation
- Clean, transform, aggregate, and prepare large-scale datasets
- Design and implement data solutions for advanced analytics
- Develop complex queries and scalable data-processing workflows
- Compile, install, and maintain database systems
- Scale data environments across distributed systems
- Implement disaster-recovery solutions
- Guide clients through complex data and technology decisions
Skills
- Advanced degree in computer science or a related field—or equivalent professional experience
- Five or more years of data engineering experience
- Hands-on experience building data solutions for advanced analytics
- Deep knowledge of big-data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, SQL, and Scala
- Experience with Databricks or Snowflake
- Familiarity with advanced-analytics and machine-learning tools such as Anaconda or Spark
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and client communication skills
- Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to work outside your comfort zone
- Willingness and ability to travel 50–80% when required
- Candidates must reside in and be legally authorized to work in the United States
