[Remote] Data Integration Analyst
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Daybright Financial is one of the nation’s largest independent firms specializing in employee benefits and retirement plans. They are seeking a Data Integration Analyst to build and maintain data pipelines, standardize payroll data formats, and lead the transition to automated integrations with payroll providers.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines. Map varied inbound payroll files into our standard format using Jitterbit and Advanced ETL. Maintain, monitor, and harden existing pipelines, and add exception handling and alerting so failures surface early
- Reconciliation and data quality. Validate inbound payroll against expected contributions every cycle, catch mismatches, and resolve exceptions. Build automated checks so quality issues are caught before they reach downstream systems
- Lead automated payroll integrations. Design and build direct integrations (API / 180- and 360-degree payroll feeds) with major payroll platforms—ADP, Paychex, UKG, Workday, Paylocity, and others—to replace manual file handling. Own the roadmap for moving employer groups off flat files and onto automated feeds
- Onboard new employer groups. Stand up the data integration and mapping for each new client—increasingly via automated feeds rather than custom file builds
- Manage outbound and bi-directional files. Own the full file lifecycle, including outbound feeds to custodians, fund companies, and trustees
- Own data standards. Maintain the standard format itself—the data dictionary, schema versioning, and the integration rules other teams depend on
Skills
- Hands-on data integration / ETL experience, including building pipelines in Jitterbit and / or Advanced ETL (or comparable integration tools)
- Experience building or consuming APIs / web services for system-to-system data exchange
- Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases
- Solid grasp of data modeling, transformation logic, and data quality practices
- Comfort automating manual processes (scripting, scheduling, monitoring)
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to own a pipeline end to end with minimal supervision
- Comfort working with financially sensitive, regulated data—this role touches ERISA-governed retirement plan contributions, custodial feeds, and participant records
- Exposure to payroll, HRIS, or financial-services data
- Familiarity with retirement plan administration or recordkeeping—you can learn the domain on the job; we are optimizing for integration and engineering skill first
- Experience with payroll-provider integration standards or connectors (e.g., ADP, UKG, Workday)
