[Remote] Director of Outside Sales - Pilgrim's
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Pilgrim’s is seeking a Director of Sales to lead its outside sales team and manage its commodity customer base. The role oversees sales strategy execution, customer relationships, negotiations, business development, and collaboration with regional sales managers, business units, inside sales, and operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage Contract Negotiations, RFP process, Business Development, New Item Development, Top to Top Meetings with customers
- Bring on new customers and manage existing customer base
- Oversee a team of Regional Sales Managers
- Work closely with the BU’s to align on mix, price, and strategy
- Execution on the sales strategy across all BU’s
- Regular collaboration with inside sales and operations to review and update strategies and initiatives
- Self-starter that sees what needs to be done and will be proactive with tasks, schedules, and disciplined at achieving the goals set by the BU’s
- Represent Pilgrim’s at the highest levels across the segment, leading the execution of Sales and strategies and strengthening the company’s position with strategic customers and industry partners
- Build relationships with industry leadership, represent Pilgrim’s at key industry events and trade shows, and identify opportunities to enhance the company’s market presence and competitive advantage
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- 5+ years' experience in poultry sales
- Basic computer skills-Microsoft Office
- Collaborative/Accountable/Results driven/ Detail Oriented
- Analytical and process oriented
- College degree in sales, marketing, poultry science or related field preferred
