[Remote] Drafting Intern
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. RELCO, a Kovalus Separation Solutions company, provides an internship opportunity to build drafting knowledge and skills, develop professional relationships, and understand the manufacturing process. The Drafting Intern assists with CADD plans, technical drawings, project documentation, drawing packets, and assigned design and drafting projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing plans using computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software
- Work through rough sketches & specifications from engineers
- Assist with preparing drawings specifications suitable for use in estimating, construction, and communication to third parties outside of the company
- Assist with producing drawings & other written communications concerning projects that are accurate & delivered in a timely manner
- Assemble informational/drawing packets & submit them to appropriate departments or areas
- Handle & file applicable job information & drawings per company policy
- Successfully communicate all applicable information & specifications the products drawn to other departments
- Handle and file pertinent job information & drawings according to company policy
- Assist drafters in day-to-day activities
- Follow all safety procedures when operating machinery
- Keep work area clean & organized so not to present a safety hazard
- Assist with all special projects assigned by supervisor
- Assist with Design/Drafting projects as assigned by supervisor
Skills
- • Must be willing to travel 10-15% of the time
- • Education: Enrolled in college/university for drafting or engineering related degree program
