[Remote] Engineering Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Ford Motor Company is seeking a customer-centric Mobile Engineering Manager for its Electric Vehicles, Digital and Design team. The role leads and develops mobile engineers, guides technical direction, and partners with product and engineering stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, customer-facing mobile experiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of mobile engineers delivering customer-facing applications used by millions of drivers around the world
- Provide technical leadership from product conception through production, ensuring scalable, reliable, and high-quality mobile experiences
- Review and provide feedback on product designs, technical architectures, and engineering approaches
- Evaluate and recommend emerging mobile technologies, tools, and engineering practices
- Establish standards for technical documentation, code quality, testing, and operational excellence
- Partner effectively with product managers, product designers, engineering leaders, and other technical experts to align priorities and deliver customer value
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive engineering culture focused on continuous learning, ownership, and delivering measurable results
Skills
- * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- * 5+ years of hands-on software development experience
- * 5+ years of experience leading large-scale engineering teams and organizations
- * Experience developing or supporting IoT or connected-device products
- * A master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- * Experience leading mobile engineering teams and delivering large-scale iOS and Android applications
