Cisco is a global technology company that develops solutions connecting and protecting organizations across physical and digital environments. The Security Technical Program Manager will lead complex cybersecurity programs across the CISO organization and partner teams, driving execution across security engineering, cloud and infrastructure security, identity and access management, compliance, AI-enabled workflows, and customer assurance. The role will connect technical work to risk reduction, establish metrics and accountability, and support the launch and operation of security capabilities at scale.

Responsibilities

  • As a Security Technical Program Manager, you will lead technically complex cybersecurity programs across the CISO organization and with partners across Engineering, Product, IT, Compliance, Customer Trust, Legal, Procurement, and go-to-market teams when needed. You will drive programs spanning security engineering, product and platform security, cloud and infrastructure security, identity and access management, vulnerability remediation, secure software development, AI-enabled engineering or security workflows, compliance readiness, customer assurance, and security service delivery
  • You will develop enough understanding of architectures, data flows, control design, telemetry, and engineering dependencies to identify gaps, unblock decisions, and connect technical work to risk reduction and customer impact. You will use metrics, dashboards, audit evidence, and stakeholder forums to surface material risks early and keep globally distributed teams accountable
  • You will help launch security capabilities with the right runbooks, support handoffs, customer assurance inputs, and awareness or GTM coordination so new capabilities land cleanly and can be operated at scale

  • 2+ of experience driving cross-functional technical execution across product, engineering, security, compliance, and business stakeholders, including ownership of program metrics, dashboards, executive updates, and decision records
  • 1+ years of experience using AI-enabled tools to improve analysis, documentation, reporting, or workflow automation, with awareness of risks such as data leakage, prompt injection, third-party tooling, confidentiality, human review, and audibility
  • Experience supporting programs in a CISO organization, security operations center, product security team, GRC function, cloud security team, or enterprise technology organization
  • Experience participating in architecture reviews, threat modeling, control implementation, detection engineering, incident readiness, large-scale remediation, or customer assurance efforts
  • Experience managing security integrations with mergers and acquisitions
  • Experience supporting security review, control implementation, or rollout of AI-enabled products, copilots, agents, AI-assisted engineering workflows, or internal automation
  • Familiarity with Splunk products such as Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Cloud Platform, Enterprise Security, SOAR, or Observability Cloud
