[Remote] Founding Marketer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Skipit is a pre-seed startup developing a browser extension that helps viewers skip triggering scenes or read brief summaries while watching streaming content. The Founding Marketer will build the company’s growth engine from near zero by creating content, developing a campus ambassador program, growing the Discord community, testing marketing channels, and proposing broader marketing strategies.
Responsibilities
- Leading content production across our channels, including hands-on creation, not just direction
- Building a campus ambassador program with me from scratch
- Growing our Discord community into something that drives real product usage and scene contributions
- Testing across as many channels as we can and killing what doesn’t work fast
- Bringing new ideas about marketing as a whole, not just what to post
Skills
- Remote (United States only)
- Someone who's excited to build the thing rather than manage people who build it
- I care much more about someone who has grown an audience, run campaigns, or built a community themselves than about a specific title history
- Content creators, community builders, and marketers who've done scrappy early-stage work all make sense here
- Roughly 25 to 30 hours a week
- Boston, MA preferred
- Boston area is a plus for campus and event work
