[Remote] Front End Software Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Front End Software Engineer to join a leading organization in the network simulation and virtualization industry. The role focuses on building interactive web applications for designing, visualizing, and managing virtual network environments, while collaborating on frontend and backend development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain modern web applications using Vue and TypeScript
- Build interactive network topology visualization tools and user interfaces
- Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and real-time data
- Contribute to backend development initiatives using Golang and Python
- Optimize application performance and scalability for complex network environments
- Create reusable UI components and maintain frontend best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across frontend and backend systems
- Participate in code reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Skills
- 3+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on frontend development
- Strong experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Hands-on experience with Vue.js
- Experience developing backend services using Golang and/or Python
- Knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, and network protocols
- Experience integrating REST APIs and working with real-time data technologies
- Experience with data visualization libraries, Canvas, SVG, or similar technologies is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
