[Remote] GCP DevOps Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Ampstek is seeking an experienced GCP DevOps Engineer with expertise in data engineering, data pipelines, Google BigQuery, and Hadoop. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable Google Cloud infrastructure and data pipeline solutions, including CI/CD, infrastructure automation, monitoring, security, and performance optimization.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based applications and data platforms
- Build and manage scalable data pipelines using GCP services and modern data engineering tools
- Develop and optimize data solutions using Google BigQuery
- Work with Hadoop and distributed data processing technologies
- Deploy, configure, and manage applications and infrastructure across GCP environments
- Implement infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
- Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability using GCP monitoring and logging solutions
- Troubleshoot issues across cloud infrastructure, applications, and data pipelines
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Developers, Architects, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions
- Implement security, access controls, and best practices across GCP environments
- Optimize cloud resources for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
Skills
- Strong experience as a GCP DevOps Engineer / Cloud DevOps Engineer
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Strong knowledge of Google BigQuery
- Experience developing and managing data pipelines
- Experience with Hadoop and distributed data processing environments
- Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
- Strong scripting/programming skills using Python, Bash, or similar languages
- Experience with Git and source-code management
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes/GKE
- Experience with cloud monitoring, logging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
- Strong understanding of cloud security and IAM
