Veritis Group Inc is seeking a remote Java Backend Developer to support backend software development and application modernization initiatives. The role focuses on developing and supporting Java microservices, working with SQL databases and APIs, understanding existing codebases, and implementing new features and enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Strong Java development experience with proficiency in Spring Boot frameworks
- Experience developing and supporting backend microservices
- Proficiency with SQL and database querying
- Ability to understand existing codebases, business logic, and implement new features and enhancements
- Experience building or consuming APIs
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and ability to work within evolving applications and modernization initiatives
- Experience with FastAPI
- Experience with GraphQL
- Experience with Databricks
- Experience with StarRocks
- Exposure to Docker and DevOps-related tooling
- Experience supporting application modernization or migration initiatives
- Knowledge of Python
- Experience working with analytics or reporting applications
Skills
- 7+ years of software development experience
- Strong Java development experience with proficiency in Spring Boot frameworks
