[Remote] Kubernetes Platform Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Vertex Elite LLC is seeking a Kubernetes Platform Engineer to design, implement, and manage Kubernetes platforms and containerized workloads. The role focuses on infrastructure as code, cluster optimization, autoscaling, resource management, and workload efficiency using tools such as Terraform, OpenTofu, Karpenter, and ScaleOps.
Responsibilities
- Strong experience designing, implementing, and managing Kubernetes platforms and containerized workloads
- Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform and OpenTofu
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes cluster optimization, workload scaling, and resource management
- Experience with Karpenter for Kubernetes node provisioning, autoscaling, and workload optimization
- Experience with ScaleOps for Kubernetes resource optimization, cost management, and workload efficiency
Skills
- 6–9 years of overall experience in Platform Engineering
- 3–5 years of hands-on, Kubernetes-focused experience in production environments
- Strong experience designing, implementing, and managing Kubernetes platforms and containerized workloads
- Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform and OpenTofu
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes cluster optimization, workload scaling, and resource management
- Experience with Karpenter for Kubernetes node provisioning, autoscaling, and workload optimization
- Experience with ScaleOps for Kubernetes resource optimization, cost management, and workload efficiency
