Responsibilities
- Analyzes medical records and medical bills for relatedness and causality for clients.
- Reviews medical records to evaluate care and status of the claimant.
- Conducts medical journal research.
- Provides clients with medical evidence preparation and organization.
- Examines issues, omissions and discrepancies in medical records.
- Prepares case summaries.
Qualifications
Licenses or Certifications:
- You must be a registered nurse (RN) with a license in the state you reside
Experience:
- Mitchell's Medical Claims Consultants are Registered Nurses and will typically have at least 3 years clinical experience and one year as a reviewer
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proficiency in navigating between multiple software platforms simultaneously
- Ability to efficiently extract and transfer information between different programs while maintaining accuracy
- Adaptability to learn new software systems and workflows quickly
- Demonstrated skill in organizing electronic information from disparate sources into cohesive work products
- Comfort with cloud-based collaboration tools and shared document environments
Written Abilities:
- Proficient grammar, sentence structure, and written communication skills required

The expected base pay for this position ranges from $65,500 - $84,000 annually, and will be based on a number of additional factors including skills, experience, and education.
