[Remote] Oracle Data Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Mastech Digital is seeking an Oracle Data Engineer to develop and maintain Oracle-centric data engineering solutions. The role focuses on ETL, data loading, data modeling, analytics, performance tuning, stream processing, and end-to-end issue diagnosis, with additional QA support as needed.
Responsibilities
- Create Oracle procedures, functions, triggers, packages, materialized views, and views using advanced features of Oracle 11g and Oracle 12
- ETL processing with Python, Oracle, and Unix across batch ETL and real-time stream processing
- Ability to do QA for some tasks, including validation, issue investigation, and support for delivery signoff where needed
- Load huge data sets from multiple vendors and perform data cleansing, data transformations, and data loading involving data modeling and data analytics
- Work on performance tuning for existing SQL and PL/SQL objects and build optimized objects
- Create complex Unix shell scripts to automate batch job processing and create reports on real-time, daily, and weekly basis
- Perform logical and physical design of databases, data modeling, and design specifications to analyze dependencies and perform risk analysis
- Develop and maintain technical specifications, data mappings, program logic, and flowcharts for all change requests that are performed
- Write complex queries to identify potential issues when interfaces fail and remediate them
- Automate flat file loading to Oracle using SQL Loader and create control files for that activity
- Able to understand the flow end to end from UI to DB
