DescriptionJSI invites you to join our team as a Remote Permit Agent on our Fiber Design & Implementation team in Lubbock, TX, where you'll play a critical role in advancing broadband and telecommunications initiatives that expand connectivity and drive digital inclusion--while advancing your career within a mission-driven, growth-focused organization.Position Overview :As a Remote Permit Agent, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting permit applications to Local, State, and Federal Agencies.This position will work closely with the engineers and design team to ensure projects stay on track by lining up permits and expediting the process for all parties.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for securing the timely preparation and submission of plans, inspections, and permits through various municipalities (DOT's, BLM, DNR, State Land and National Forest) while acting as a liaison for the company.Track all pending permits for multiple projects through the review process and timeline schedules while effectively communicating the status of each permit.Supports the Engineering department by documenting and processing all plan revisions and coordinating time-frame requirements based on construction.Follow up on existing projects with appropriate departments and managers, to move jobs through the permitting process efficiently to meet deadlines, which include administrative duties.Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with permitting agencies and third-party subconsultants.Preferred Qualifications1-3 years of related in-depth experience of various telecom construction permitting to include State, Highway Department & Municipal requirements.Strong technical skills, including proficiency in telecom permitting practices.Effective people skills, able to collaborate with personnel at all levels, both within and outside the company, through excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency and ability to utilize computer software programs, including Microsoft Office suite, Excel, database, AutoCAD, Google Earth, and PDF applications.Education :Bachelor's Degree is desired but not necessary.Benefits and CompensationCompetitive salary performance-based bonuses.Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)).Generous PTO and travel support.Ongoing professional development and educational opportunities.About the CompanyJSI is a leading full-service consulting firm specializing in broadband solutions.For over 60 years, we have provided independent communications service providers with expert financial, engineering, management, operational, regulatory, and strategic guidance.Our extensive industry knowledge and proven track record of success have empowered clients to achieve sustainable growth and profitability.With over 1000 clients nationwide and a powerful presence in markets like Florida, Texas, Maryland, and Alaska, JSI empowers rural and regional broadband providers to expand, evolve, and excel in a rapidly shifting digital world.To learn more about JSI, visit us at jsitel.com..
