[Remote] Senior Devops Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The company is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support cloud infrastructure and cloud-native technology initiatives. The role focuses on AWS and SAP cloud environments, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, container orchestration, security, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production operations.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, operate, and maintain cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS
- Work with SAP Cloud Infrastructure (SCI) / SAP Converged Cloud environments
- Deploy and manage OpenStack infrastructure and utilize OpenStack CLI tools
- Automate infrastructure and deployments using Ansible, Chef, and Terraform
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using ArgoCD, GitLab CI/CD, and Jenkins
- Deploy and manage cloud-native applications using Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and microservices
- Work with Cloud Foundry and container orchestration platforms
- Implement and manage cloud networking using AWS VPC, Azure VNet, and Google VPC
- Configure monitoring and observability using Dynatrace and CloudWatch
- Manage logging solutions including Splunk, Elasticsearch, and Logstash
- Work with Artifactory/JFrog for repository management and Consul/Zookeeper for service management
- Develop automation scripts using Python and PowerShell
- Implement security best practices, including hardened containers/images, STIG requirements, and secrets management
- Work with HashiCorp Vault and GitHub Secrets for secure credential and secret management
- Support cloud-native application deployments, troubleshooting, and production operations
- Work with SAP HANA and demonstrate familiarity with SAP solutions and technologies
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, security, and delivery teams
Skills
- * 5+ years of professional experience in Cloud Delivery, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related technologies
- * 2+ years of hands-on cloud operations experience developing, delivering, and maintaining cloud products
- * In-depth knowledge of AWS
- * Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
- * Strong experience with Ansible and/or Chef
- * Experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
- * Experience with OpenStack deployments and CLI tools
- * Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and/or ArgoCD
- * Strong Linux/RHEL experience
- * Experience with cloud networking, monitoring, logging, and security
- * Programming or scripting experience in at least one language, preferably Python or PowerShell
- * Professional experience in software engineering or DevOps roles
- * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
