[Remote] Senior DevOps Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Confluence is a global technology solutions provider serving the investment management industry. The company is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support a platform transformation to a cloud-first Azure architecture by building and scaling infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and reliability practices. The role will also help shape DevOps standards, tooling, and deployment processes while partnering with engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Build and scale the platform that underpins our applications
- Design and optimise CI/CD pipelines
- Deliver infrastructure as code
- Enable developers to deploy and operate systems more efficiently and reliably
- Work closely with engineering teams
- Build and scale DevOps foundations, not just maintain them
- Work closely with engineering teams on large scale systems
- Shape platform standards and practices
Skills
- Experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform essential)
- Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS also considered)
- Experience with containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
- Scripting or coding experience (Python, PowerShell or similar)
- Understanding of security, compliance, and deployment practices
- Comfortable working across infrastructure and development teams

- Experience supporting .NET or web based applications
- Exposure to hybrid or enterprise environments (cloud and on-prem)
- Experience with release strategies such as blue green or canary deployments
- Exposure to financial services or data platforms
- Experience with modern cloud architecture patterns
- Preference will be shown to those within a commutable distance of the above offices
