[Remote] Software Engineer

The company is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, maintain, and support complex Java-based applications, APIs, microservices, and integrations across the full software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable and high-performing applications using Java and modern backend technologies
- Build and enhance Spring Boot applications, Microservices, and RESTful APIs
- Develop clean, maintainable, and production-quality code following software engineering best practices
- Work with relational databases and data-access technologies to design efficient application solutions
- Integrate applications with third-party systems, messaging platforms, and enterprise services
- Troubleshoot complex technical and production issues and improve application performance and reliability
- Participate in technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and code reviews
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, business analysts, and product teams
- Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD, and modern software delivery practices
- Support applications throughout the full software development lifecycle
Skills
- 8+ years of hands-on software development experience
- Strong expertise in Java
- Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework
- Hands-on experience building REST APIs and Microservices
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Experience with JPA / Hibernate
- Experience with application integration and distributed systems
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software engineering principles
- Experience with Git and modern development workflows
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization skills
- Candidates should be open to relocation based on client and project requirements
- AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging technologies
- Docker and Kubernetes
- Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or other CI/CD tools
- Redis or distributed caching technologies
- React or Angular
- Java concurrency and multithreading
- High-volume or mission-critical enterprise applications
