[Remote] Software Engineer

They are seeking a Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain foundational platforms, as well as create user-friendly interfaces that enhance customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust, scalable solutions in a multi-tenant environment
• Utilize programming languages like Go, Rust, and C++
• Take ownership of significant service components, contributing to our growth and development
• Take ownership of significant segments of our user interfaces, prioritizing performance and user experience
• Develop and design compelling, user-friendly UIs using SolidJS
• Engage in and, at times, lead architectural decision-making for both new and existing features
• Work collaboratively with skilled colleagues who will support your growth and offer mentorship, while also guiding other engineers within your team
• Be part of a close-knit group addressing challenging problems with the right approach

Skills

• A BS/MS/PhD in a scientific field or equivalent experience
• Strong backend programming skills in languages like Go, Rust, C++
• Experience in tackling high durability and low latency challenges
• Proficiency in both high-level and low-level programming
• A focus on simple, efficient design and performance
• Enthusiasm for working in a dynamic startup environment
• Possess 4+ years of experience in application development, with comprehensive knowledge of the systems worked on
• Have substantial frontend programming experience, preferably within the React ecosystem
• Demonstrated experience in making impactful product decisions that have significantly influenced user experience
• Eager to work in a dynamic, rapidly growing environment that values diverse talents, excellence in products, and faces engineering challenges on a large scale
