[Remote] Technical Writer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. V2X builds smart solutions that integrate physical and digital infrastructure to support security, logistics, and readiness. The Technical Writer will support a cybersecurity project by creating, editing, organizing, and presenting technical documentation and compliance artifacts. The role collaborates with engineers and project teams to document cybersecurity controls and supporting evidence.
Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain cybersecurity compliance controls, documentation, and supporting artifacts to assist with capture planning and project requirements
- Gather, develop, edit, and format technical information and documentation to support cybersecurity compliance and project deliverables
- Collaborate with system engineers, architects, and other project team members to understand technical designs, document how cybersecurity controls are implemented, and capture the supporting compliance evidence
- Collaborate with project team members to gather information and ensure materials are clear, accurate, and professionally presented
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- IAT II certification (Security+ or better) required
- Eligibility to Obtain and Maintain a Public Trust/NACI Clearance required
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in technical writing or similar skillset
- Familiarity with information technology and cyber security concepts and technology
- Working knowledge of information technology and cybersecurity concepts, with the ability to collaborate with system engineers and architects to document technical compliance with security controls
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environments is preferred, but not required
