Senior Civil Engineer
Client: A client in the multidisciplinary design and civil engineering industry Location: Remote (USA) - client based in New York Work mode: Remote Work authorization: US Citizen/Permanent Resident Relocation: Not available Openings: 1 The client is seeking a qualified Senior Civil Engineer with 10+ years of relevant experience to work on a diverse portfolio of public and private projects, including parks & greenspace, campuses & universities, stormwater, utility, and transportation infrastructure. Candidates will play a role in all phases of the projects from design concepts through construction administration. The client is a multidisciplinary design firm, and this individual will be partnering with architects, engineers, landscape architects, surveyors and support staff on projects. Responsibilities: • Oversee design work for civil engineering projects that may involve site design, grading and drainage design, road/pavement design, stormwater management, utility design (sanitary sewer and water), and erosion & sediment control. • Duties may include design and oversight of conceptual layouts and construction drawings as well as specifications, reports, cost estimates, SWPPPs & stormwater calculations, and water/sewer design. • Complete quality work within budgets and timelines. Collaborate with project managers and senior staff on project status, schedules, and design and construction issues. • Coordinate, delegate, and review work of junior designers. Mentor junior design staff. • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, representatives of government agencies, contractors, and clients. • Conduct/coordinate construction administration and periodic site visits to monitor quality and work progress. • Stormwater or utility design experience preferred, including design of stormwater management practices, conveyance systems, SWPPPs, and water/sewer design. Qualifications: • Degree in civil or environmental engineering, landscape architecture, or similar • 10+ years of relevant civil engineering work experience • NYS PE or EIT preferred • Technical expertise: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in AutoCAD, Civil3D, or MicroStation. Experience with HydroCAD or other stormwater modeling software preferred. • Teamwork and communication: Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Apply To This Job
