Senior Software Engineer, Real-Time Data Platform

Our Telemetry Platform team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help us build and evolve the services that collect and process data from millions of NVIDIA users worldwide. What you will be doing:
- Design, build, and tune real-time, high-throughput services that ingest, validate, and route telemetry events from NVIDIA products worldwide.
- Make ingestion durable end to end (delivery guarantees, backpressure, persistent buffering, graceful degradation) so data survives component failures.
- Drive architecture for the data collection platform, including schema management and shared libraries for metrics, tracing, and configuration.
- Lead design reviews, write clear documents, and mentor other engineers.
- Own the services you build in production, including a shared on-call rotation and incident management.
What we need to see:
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience, and 7+ years building backend services that run in production.
- Deep expertise in modern Java (17+) and Spring Boot, including concurrency, the Java Memory Model, and performance profiling.
- Strong distributed systems fundamentals (microservices, event-driven architecture, delivery semantics, failure handling).
- Experience running large-scale services with Docker, Kubernetes, and message brokers (Apache Kafka preferred) on AWS or another major cloud.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing, CI/CD, and production observability.
- Proficiency in agentic engineering (AI coding agents).
- Fluent English.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
- Production experience with reactive, non-blocking Java (Project Reactor, Spring WebFlux, Netty).
- Background in telemetry, analytics, or high-volume data ingestion.
- Experience with schema management for event data: schema registries, validation, and compatible schema evolution.
- Security and privacy fundamentals: authentication and authorization (OAuth 2.0, JWT), network and cloud security, and privacy regulations such as GDPR.
BS or MS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience; 7+ years building production backend services; expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot, distributed systems, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, AWS, CI/CD, observability, and agentic engineering; fluent English.
