About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Remote IT Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, programming, and coding innovative IT solutions primarily using Python to support Florida Blue Customer Experience applications. Your expertise will contribute to the design and implementation of AI agents, integration of AI systems into existing infrastructure, and the development of scalable, production-ready applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software development, system architecture, and AI technologies, with a focus on creating robust, secure, and efficient solutions. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely in a collaborative environment, engaging with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful technology solutions that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
To qualify for this role, candidates should have a minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience in software development and IT solutions. A related Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is required. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in Python programming, including developing REST API services and processing batch files. Experience with database systems such as SQL, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar is essential. Familiarity with RESTful architecture, system development life cycle, and change management procedures is expected. Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills are necessary, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Candidates should also have excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly and effectively. Experience with AI agent development, Model Context Protocol (MCP) standards, and tools like Copilot and Devin will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
Design and develop AI agents following Model Context Protocol (MCP) standards to enhance application capabilities. Build and optimize agentic workflows utilizing Copilot and Devin development tools. Architect scalable, production-ready AI systems with comprehensive error handling and monitoring mechanisms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate AI agents into existing IT infrastructure. Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and ensure adherence to best practices in AI development. Document system architecture, APIs, deployment procedures, and operational workflows. Troubleshoot and optimize agent performance, reliability, and security. Perform unit testing, oversee release procedures, and manage change control protocols. Evaluate various libraries and frameworks to meet business and technical requirements effectively. Maintain high standards of documentation and ensure compliance with IT controls to protect data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
