Role Description The Vice President Operations is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing end-to-end operational performance across steel fabrication and metal works projects. This position leads operational planning, resource allocation, and workflow optimization to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The role includes developing and implementing operational policies, monitoring key performance indicators, and driving continuous improvement in fabrication, installation, and support functions. The Vice President Operations collaborates closely with executive leadership, project teams, and commercial stakeholders to align operational strategies with business goals, support P&L objectives, and uphold quality, health, and safety standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing cross-functional teams, resolving operational issues, supporting customer service excellence, and identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Operations Management and Project Management skills to oversee complex, multi-site fabrication and construction activities. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in P&L Management and Strategic Planning to support business growth, cost control, and long-term operational goals. Candidates should bring solid Customer Service capabilities to maintain client satisfaction, manage stakeholder expectations, and support repeat business. Candidates should have leadership, team management, and cross-functional collaboration skills to guide diverse teams and drive performance. Extensive experience in construction, steel fabrication, or engineering environments, ideally in the Middle East, is highly beneficial. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, business administration, or a related field; an advanced degree or professional certifications are an advantage. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with proficiency in project management and ERP tools. Ability to work effectively in a remote leadership capacity, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
