[Remote] Software Engineering - Software Engineer I

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The client is seeking a Software Engineer I to join its Fundamental AI Research team, an interdisciplinary organization focused on advancing artificial intelligence research and bringing research breakthroughs to products. The role involves designing and improving machine learning systems and tools, developing robust ML code, supporting research workflows, and collaborating with scientists, engineers, and cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, design, implement, and improve cutting-edge machine learning systems and tools for enabling research
• Apply knowledge of relevant research domains, along with expert coding skills, to platform and framework development projects
• Write clean and robust machine learning code

Skills

• 0-1 years of deep learning experience working with codebases supporting cutting-edge AI/ML models
• Experience developing machine learning algorithms or infrastructure in Python/PyTorch and/or C/C++
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical field
• Proven experience via professional work, coding competitions, or widely used open source/GitHub contributions
• PhD or advanced degree preferred
