Educational Lesson Writer (Part-Time, Remote)

Work from home Full-time role Hiring

Do you love learning, writing, and making complex ideas easy to understand? We're looking for a thoughtful, curious writer to help create engaging, bite-sized educational content for a modern learning platform. This is a great opportunity for current or former teachers, professors, humanities graduates, and experienced writers who enjoy explaining interesting topics in a clear, compelling way. You'll turn subjects across history, literature, art, culture, and more into short, memorable learning experiences. No meetings, no rigid schedule, and no need to be online at specific hours. Just interesting writing projects you can complete on your own time.

What You'll Do

Research and write short, engaging educational lessons across a variety of subjects. Break down complex topics into clear, accessible, bite-sized explanations. Make educational content accurate, interesting, and enjoyable to read. Edit and refine content for clarity, tone, and quality. Work independently and asynchronously with our team. Who We're Looking For A bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, ideally in English, History, Literature, Art History, or a related humanities field. Strong writing, editing, and research skills. A knack for explaining complicated ideas in simple, engaging language. Someone who is detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and comfortable working independently. Especially encouraged to apply: Current or former history teachers, English teachers, professors, editors, and humanities-focused writers. The Details Pay: $40/hour Hours: Approximately 5–10 hours per week Location: Remote (U.S.-based) Schedule: Fully flexible and asynchronous Type: Part-time Our Hiring Process We keep things simple: Short application – Tell us a little about your background and writing experience. Introductory conversation – A casual call to get to know each other. Short writing exercise – A chance to show us your writing style and approach, completed asynchronously. If you love learning, enjoy writing, and want flexible, meaningful work, we'd love to hear from you.
